"I hate him" Harry grumbled an hour later as they were finally freed from the dark confinements of Professor Snape's potions classroom. An hour and a half of wasted time and a zero grade all because Malfoy had deliberately sabotaged his potion. AND two homework assignments due the next day. AND a detention that evening as well. "I really hate him." Hermione and Ron were scurrying to keep up with his quickened pace. "He was out of order mate" Ron assured him breathlessly as they began the long climb towards Gryffindor Tower. Hermione gave a doubtful hum, but Ron rounded on her before she could voice the feelings behind that gesture. "Oh come on Hermione! No one else has to rewrite their entire summer assignment as well as the two foot essay he assigned for tonight's homework." Hermione went very pink in the face. "I didn't say anything" she insisted defensively. "But you were thinking it" Ron countered. "Just because he's a professor, you don't have to"-
Harry tuned them out and let them bicker behind his back all the way up seven flights of stairs to the framed portrait that hid the gryffindor tower's entryway. "Mimbulus mimbletonia" Harry recited dully before scrambling through the circular hole in the wall and setting off for the boy's dormitories. He had barely enough time to drop off his books, making sure his wand was still stowed safely out of sight within his robes, before a quick glance at the clock told him that he was not going to be able to make dinner if he wanted to get a start on some of the mountains of homework he had been assigned before detention with Snape.
"I really, really hate him" he muttered savagely to himself.
